Admission and Nondiscrimination Policy

St. Matthew’s Lutheran School is an extension of the ministry of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Our purpose is to provide a quality Christian education through the teaching of a complete basic curriculum and the Christian faith. Therefore, it is our expectation that a family who enrolls their child at St. Matthew’s sincerely cares about the academic as well as spiritual growth of their child.

St. Matthew’s admits students of any race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights and privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school and all Children enrolled at St. Matthew’s shall have an equal opportunity for the highest quality Christian education without discrimination regardless of their race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin.

 

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS FOR MIDDLE GRADES STUDENTS AND FAMILIES.

All applicants for grades 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th must be interviewed by the principal before officially being admitted. Both, the student and both parents or guardians (if possible) must be present at the interview. Application must be completed and submitted to the office with the appropriate payments before an interview can be scheduled.

It is the policy of St. Matthew’s not to admit middle grade students after the school year is already underway. Exceptions for extenuating circumstances only would be considered.
